Day trip from Malta to Blue Lagoon Comino

This is one of the main tourist attractions in Malta. The trip is easy and funny, but you may spend a bit of time in a car or in a bus, until you reach Cirkewwa.

When you reach the northern end of the island, you canspeed taxi boat to take us to the Lagoon. This ride is amazing and very funny. I don't know if you have ever had a ride with a speed boat, but know that it is a must. On the way the captain took us to explore the caves and the corals of Comino, from the east side, the side I have never been to. It comes with the 10 euros ticket you pay, which is valid  for both ways. I believe that this boat taxis run every 45 minutes.

Once you see the blue lagoon, the excitement rises even more. But, the issue comes once you realise you don't have where to put your towel and things. There is a very small sandy beach, which is always crowded. People are enjoying this natural beauty by siting on the top of the hill, which is not convenient at all.

Thanks to my previous experience, there is a spot on a rock, just next to to the lagoon , which happens to be always empty when we go. It is not so comfortable to lay and enjoy, but at least you have a safe spot.

There are some vans ans stalls that sell sandwiches, hod dogs, fruit salads, pineapple cocktails and drinks, so you can always buy whatever you feel like.

Take a look at the video I made from our trip to Blue Lagoon Comino.
